The Channel Islands Mini Dual-core surfboard design is a collaboration with Kalani Robb and MINI (the car brand, yes).
It’s a versatile fish that performs in an unusually wide range of conditions. The MINI offers an ultra-relaxed rocker, wide nose, wide squash tail, thinned rails, and aggressive single-to-double concave with vee out the tail.
The Channel Islands Mini incorporates all the speed and wave catching ability of a traditional fish. Designed to work best in knee to head high surf. This board is best positioned as your go to groveller in your quiver. Ride this Channel Islands board 3″ – 6″ shorter than your height.
“If you’re into the traditional fish design but want a board that will handle a broader range of sizes and conditions, this is a great option.”

Construction
Fusion Dual-Core utilizes the lightest and strongest EPS core on the market to create a lively and buoyant centre, while the PU foam inserts on the rails combined with the pop-flex stingers give you a natural feel and response.
Note:
The video below has Benny talking at length about the shape and anything you need to know if you’re looking into buying the CI Mini. The construction of the board he has in his shaping bay is a different construction though.
